A Year-End Message to Our Members & Donors

Dear Friends,
We wish you the warmest of holiday greetings and hope this letter finds you and your family well. Thanks to you, ALK Positive was able to accomplish some amazing things this past year!
Our mission is to improve the quality of life and life expectancy of ALK-positive lung cancer patients.Here is what has happened since we started in April 2017 up until November 2018.
April 2017: The OMG was formed to raise awareness and fundraise for ALK-positive lung cancer research to save lives.
August 2017: LUNGevity became our partner when they offered to let us fundraise for ALK-positive lung cancer research through their organization.
April 2018: ALK Positive drafted and accepted bylaws that govern the operation and administration of our organization.
May 2018: We elected our first officers.
July 2018: The first-ever ALK Positive Summit was held in Louisville, KY.
July 2018: LUNGevity awarded three ALK Positive 2-year research grants at $200,000 each, for a total of $600,000.
October 2018: ALK Positive reached our goal of $600,000 to fully fund all three research grants. We would not have been able to do this without your help.
November 2018: LUNGevity and OMG entered into a fiscal sponsorship agreement.
We have formed valuable partnerships with the Biden Cancer Initiative (BCI), American Cancer Society (ACS), American Society of Cancer Oncologists (ASCO), Lung Cancer Awareness Month (LCAM), and the Addario Lung Cancer Foundation/Addario Lung Cancer Medical Institute (ALCF/ALCMI).
We know that the face of lung cancer is just beginning to change, and research is the key. We have set a new goal: to raise $1 million for ALK Positive research, awareness, and advocacy by December 2019. In this month of giving, we hope you will join with us to get a start on reaching this goal.
Today we are asking two things of you:
1. Be among the first to make a donation toward our ambitious, but achievable, 2019 goal of $1 million
2. Opt in to receive periodic ALK news and updates by email directly from ALK Positive.
